Here a fairly simply juicing recipe if you are looking for cleansing or detox benefits. It’s also a great way to sneak some greens into your juice and not be able to taste them. The sweetness from the carrots and tartness from the lemon both do a great job of masking most bitter greens flavors.
Feel free to substitute any leafy greens you want, or that you have handy, when the inspiration to make this juice hits you. Spinach is the most mild option, but this recipe can handle other leafy greens that are more bitter like kale or chard.
6 carrots (medium to large)
4 handfuls of spinach (or leafy greens of your choice)
Wash and process the ingredients as you typically would and for what works best for your particular juicer. Peel the lemon and just add the slices through the juicer. Add the leafy greens before the carrots so the carrot juice can help push through all the greens juice.
