There are not many juices I enjoy making for myself or for guests more than this wonderful holiday spiced apple juicing recipe. It’s a wonderful twist on spiced apple cider but still bursting with nutrients.
Most apple cider traditionally uses store bought apple juice that has been pasteurized and void of the nutrients you can only access from freshly juiced apples. The cinnamon and ginger add a wonderful heat to the recipe to keep you warm on even the coldest winter night.
1 inch slice of ginger (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)
Wash and prepare the ingredients as you normally would and for what fits best in your juicer. Peel the lemon and put just the slices through the juicer. Put the ginger through and follow it with the apples. Stir the cinnamon into the final juice and enjoy. You can heat the final juice on the stove briefly to get the hot cider effect. Just do not heat to high, or for too long to maximize the nutrients.
