If you love fresh tomato juice, you will love this Italian twist on this classic. Unlike popular tomato juice blends you find in the store that are pasteurized and thick, real tomato juice from a juicer is thinner and more refreshing. This is a great juice if you are juicing for weight loss also and its full on nutrition.

The cucumber helps to tone down the tomato and you can spice it up a bit with a touch of onion or garlic. Either way this is a great way to get the wonderful benefits of tomatoes into a juice.

4-5 tomatoes
1 handful of basil
1/2 cucumber
1/4 of an onion or a couple small pieces of garlic (optional)

Wash and process the ingredients as you normally would and for what fits best in your juicer. Add in the basil first so the more water dense tomatoes and cucumber will push all the juice through. Add in some onion or garlic to taste if you want to “spice” up the juice a bit.
