With Kale being the new hot ingredient in the juicing and smoothie world, here is a particularly delicious kale juicing recipe if you happen to be kraving kale. Because kale juice is a bit more on the bitter side, the secret is to mask the flavor with sweet and sour elements. I like to use carrot for my sweet and lemon for my sour.

I find these 3 ingredients work well together and is simple recipe to prepare. The carrot juice gives a nice rich texture and the sour of the lemon helps mask some of the bitter notes very well. This is also a great recipe if you are juice cleansing.

Ingredients:

5 Carrots
4-5 large leafs of kale
1/4 lemon
Directions:

Wash and process the ingredients as you typically would and for what works best in your particular juicer. I like to put the kale through first and follow with the carrots to help push the kale juice through. Peel the lemon and just put a few slices through, and enjoy.
