If you feel a cold coming on, here is a great immunity boosting juicing recipe to kick your immune system into overdrive. The key “spicy” ingredients in this juicing recipe are garlic and ginger which are both well know for their cold busting properties. To help mellow out these two very strong tastes are carrot juice and lemon juice.

Both Lemon Juice and Carrot juice are also great immunity boosters and full of antioxidants, but most importantly helps to make this juice more palatable. You can add a clove or more of garlic to the recipe, but be careful not to add too much or it gets pretty tough to drink for some people.

Ingredients:

6 carrots
1 clove of garlic (add more if you desire)
1 inch piece of ginger
1/4 lemon
Directions:

Wash and process the ingredients as you typically would and for what works best in your juicer. Add the garlic and ginger first and follow with the rest of the ingredients. Peel and just put the lemon slices through the juicer.
