Spinach Juicing Recipes
When most think of health food, spinach is at the top of the list. Although available year round, spinach is at its best and most nutritious between late fall and early spring. Incredibly mild compared to most greens, spinach melds well with various flavors, including other vegetables and fruits, making it one of the most versatile juicing vegetables available. Spinach is an amazing low calorie, nutrient dense greens perfect for juicing for weight loss. This green is most notable for its high iron and calcium content, two essential nutrients that are not found regularly in the produce section. Both are incredibly important for children and women of child bearing age, although everyone can benefit from the easily absorbable iron and calcium found in spinach. The high chlorophyll content and minerals also make spinach an amazing alkaline addition to your favorite juicing recipes.

Prior to juicing this green, wash it thoroughly, even if you purchase pre-bagged, prewashed spinach. Even the smallest grains of dirt can give your homemade juice an undesirable texture. When possible, try to purchase organic spinach, as the conventionally grown variety can contain a fair amount of pesticides and other toxins that you likely do not want in your spinach juice.

Here are some recipes to get you started. You can alter the quantities or the ingredients based on your personal preferences. Try to use the spinach at the beginning of your juicing recipe so that you can push out the remaining spinach juice as it is not the most productive green.
