A Highly Alkalizing Juice Recipe
At this day and age, it is common knowledge that for optimum body health, being alkaline, is the preferable state versus being acidic. There are different factors that can contribute to a more alkaline or more acidic body such as proper hydration and the emotional state of an individual. Food consumption is one of them.
Foods once digested can either leave an alkaline or acidic residue. Lemons, while acidic, do leave an alkaline residue once digested so they are considered an alkaline forming food and are highly recommended, especially on juicing recipes, over other fruits.
Alkaline fruits and vegetables are also important for juicing for weight loss recipes. The more you can do in our overall diet to help your body become more alkaline, helps all aspects of your health including supporting healthy fat loss and metabolism.
Some of the most alkalizing fruits and veggies are lemons, watermelons, spinach, cucumber, kale and celery. Cucumber and celery have high water content and are perfect for hydration as well.
Here is our super alkalizing juice recipe:
1 cup of Spinach
1 cup of Kale
3 Celery Stalks
1 Cup of Watermelon
Always juice the leafy greens first before the high water content cucumber and celery, which will help, push through the juices of the spinach and kale.
This recipe will yield between 12oz to 16oz of juice. Drink it right away so you can have the most anti-oxidant benefits.
