Here is a wonderful and fun juicing recipe to break out at your Memorial Day festivities. The key ingredients work so well together both from a health perspective but also compliment each other beautifully. The sour from the lime offsets the sweet of the watermelon and orange while the mint adds extra depth of flavor.
This recipe calls for cucumber to help water down the recipe. You can also add a little water instead and server over ice which will melt and reduce a bit of the sugar content of the melon.
4 cups cubed watermelon
4-5 sprigs of mint (more or less to taste)
Wash and process the ingredients as you typically would and for what fits best in your juicer. Add the mint first so the rest of the water dense ingredients push the mint juice through. Peel the lime and orange and just put the slices through. Pour over ice and add additional mint as garnish and enjoy.
