Believe it or not, avocados are an amazing fruit to utilize in smoothie recipes. First of all, they are dense in nutrients and healthy fats for the base of any meal replacement smoothie. They are also creamy and decadent to add depth to any smoothie you might typically get from a dairy-based ingredient.

Here are a couple ideas on how to make use of avocado:

Avocado Coconut Milkshake

Avocado (1 avocado)
Coconut Milk ( ½ cup )
Vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
Ice cubes
Water ( optional or additional coconut milk)

Avocado Greens Meal Replacement Shake

Avocado (1 avocado)
Spinach ( 2 large handfuls)
MicroGreens ( 1 handful)
½ cucumber
½ cup water
ice cubes

For both recipes, clean and process the ingredients as you normally would, add ingredients to your blender, use additional water if needed to help the ingredients blend. Add ice cubes if you want the iced smoothie type of texture.
